Liv Boeree stands as an outstanding example of female casino gamers who have used their success to promote equality within the gaming world. After winning numerous tournaments, she became an advocate for gender equity within poker and featured prominently on mainstream media shows as an advocate for female gamers.
Melonie Johnson, another leading female casino executive, was appointed chief operating officer of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City in 2020 and immediately began overseeing one of the most challenging times in its history. Under her watchful eye, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa experienced its revival. Johnson serves on Entain and Partypoker boards while advocating that casinos should provide cross-training in as many aspects of business to maximize opportunities for women.
Women in Gaming
Women have made remarkable advances in an industry typically dominated by men; challenging assumptions and breaking stereotypes while exceeding expectations when it comes to gaming.
Jette Nygaard-Anderson is CEO of Entain, the parent company to Coral, Ladbrokes and bwin. Since taking on her post in 2019, she has been responsible for its rapid expansion.
